As the Director - Operations you will own delivery performance and revenue outcomes across a matrix of teams — from order capture to collection. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring meticulous action-tracking, strong stakeholder management and the ability to drive timely execution across cross-functional teams.
Goals & Objectives
1. Revenue Recovery — From Delivery to Payment Collection
Own and track actions to recover payments after investments in materials, manpower or both.
Review and drive timely completion of processes, including accurate documentation and adherence to agreed milestones.
Ensure on-time payments from customers by proactively identifying risks and executing collection action plans.
Review high-value order payment terms and design tailored collection strategies where required.
Functions involved: Order Desk, Logistics, Finance (AR), Sales, Project Team (Delivery & Execution) & Lighting Design.
2. Revenue Generation — From Demand Generation to Order Acquisition
Track sales performance and drive the sales team to meet order and revenue targets.
Work closely with Sales, Business Development and Lighting Design to convert demand into orders.
Provide leadership and operational support to close gaps and accelerate conversions.
Functions involved: Sales, Business Development & Lighting Design.
3. Order Execution — From Customer Order to Delivery
Track cross-functional performance to ensure timely completion of deliverables with >95% output quality.
Ensure the company meets or exceeds customer expectations for quality, delivery and documentation.
Coordinate with Sales, PDM, Lighting Design and Order Desk to remove execution blockers and maintain delivery discipline.
Functions involved: Sales, PDM, Lighting Design, Order Desk.
Key Responsibilities
Be accountable for end-to-end operations and revenue-related metrics — from order capture through to cash collection.
Design, implement and monitor action plans for recovery of overdue payments and reduction of receivable-days.
Drive performance reviews with cross-functional leads, ensuring clarity of deliverables, timelines and ownership.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement robust controls to improve delivery timelines and documentation accuracy.
Lead risk assessment for high-value orders and coordinate mitigation plans with Sales and Finance.
Coach and mentor function heads to achieve consistent execution standards and customer-centric delivery.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a tenacious operator with demonstrable experience managing high-value projects and owning revenue outcomes. You should be comfortable demanding timely, uncompromised deliverables from multiple teams while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Proven experience in operations / project delivery leadership roles with revenue ownership (preferably in high-value project environments).
Strong track record of recovering receivables and improving collections processes.
Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management — able to work with Sales, Finance, Logistics and Delivery teams.
High attention to detail, disciplined action-tracking and ability to escalate and drive resolution quickly.
Strong communication, negotiation and people leadership skills.
