On February 5 grand opening of the production facility of the Lighting technologies MGC took place in Bangalore. The Plant occupies about 6 000 sq.m, its production capacity is 60 000 luminaires per month. Production shall be aimed specifically at the manufacturing of energy efficient luminaires. According to the level of equipment and facilities this production plant doesn’t have any analogues in India. Particularly the plant includes the following facilities: own test laboratory for examination of products, SMT site (surface mounting of LED and electronic components), aluminium cast work shop, R&D department etc. This project of the Lighting Technologies Co is included into the list of priority investment projects for Russian-Indian economic collaboration at the state level.
Opening of the plant is a stage of process aimed at creation of integral site of production and sale of products in India. Office-demonstration Center is being working right now (459 sq. m), net of regional representative offices is going to be opened.
The list of the priority projects included such projects as construction of a plant for the production of the butyl rubber in Jamnagar in Gujarat jointly by the Indian company Relayens (Reliance Industries) and the Russia Sibur, organization of assembling production of KAMAZ vehicles in India, the creation of a joint center in India on the basis of the development of the helicopters Ka-226T, organization of assembly production of industrial tractors with the participation of Tractor Plants and promotion of the India’s passenger aircraft MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet-100.
O.A.Vaskov, Senior Council of Consulate General of Russia in Chennai, took part in the official opening ceremony of the plant.
